Jatt.

A lot of people might have enjoyed this movie but not me. Why? Simple, you got a Papa playing a Jatt in a movie about Jatts vs. Tarkhans. What’s up with that? It’s the same type of double standard that people have when they get fake Singhs to dress up and act Amritdharis in movies.

Firstly, A Jatt isn’t just about getting tulli and beating his wife. Sure this has been something that has gotten associated with Jatts through pop-culture but Jatts in Punjabi folk-lore never carried such an image. Also, if that was a true Jatt and a true Tarkhan, there’s no way in hell they would make up and let their kids marry. Just look at the case couple of years ago in BC, where the man dem had their own daughter killed. That wasn’t right but you get the point.

Secondly, let’s face it. If a fight like that was to happen, no Jatt would spend that much time talking but rather he would’ve beat the shit out of the guy on sight.

And you know what. I’m sick of all this political correctness; I’m sick of being careful as to when I refer to myself as a Jatt or when people mention something about Jatts all of a sudden all the religious zionists pop on their keskis and act as if I committed a Kurait.

By now most of you are getting angry and shit like that but hear me out before you get all holier than thou on me.

I’m against discriminating on people because of their caste so if you feel that I’m shitting on you because you’re not Jatt, than you’re just wrong. However, I am a person who will discriminate on the grounds of personality and behaviour. I can’t stand people who are kanjoose and get all tight about sharing. I’m against people who act two faced and to be perfectly honest, I’m most comfortable when I’m around Jatts.

Now I ain’t saying that I hate people who aren’t Jatt, I do have many homies that aren’t born into the traditional Jatt families yet they have this Jatt-ness about them that makes me see them as I would any other Jatt and at the same time, I see Jatts who I think are little bitches and I would rather refer to those people as something other than Jatt.

Now the bottom line is, I’m a Jatt, most of my friends are Jatt and for the most part I enjoy the traditional stereotypical Jatt attitude and style. And if you think this makes me anti-Sikh, then you’re just reading too much into this. And if you feel neglected because you’re not a Jatt, I just wanna say, it’s not your caste but rather your bitch like attitude that’s getting you rejected.
