Gettin Down with Nusrat

My main man at the bottom of the alphabet, U, hooked me up with this and I just had to post it.

For those of you who have never heard the works of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, check the man out, he’s got some serious skills.

I don’t know what title to give this post

I was watching CP24 around 1ish yesterday and they have some guy on talking about the gas shortage in the GTA and some of the surrounding areas so I thought maybe I should actually listen to this since we all paying a ridiculous $1/litre prices nowadays. I’m watching and they open the lines up for people to call in (and no I didn’t call in and that is not what this post is about) and some guy calls whose name I don’t remember and doesn’t matter. So this guy calls and the lady and the gasoline analyst or whatever he is, are waiting for a question to answer but rather this is what the guy said:

I just wanted to say you’re show has been very cheesy lately and you got too many immigrants working for you.

Now my first reaction was the usual ‘ohhhhhhhh shit’ and I laughed a little because the guy actually got this off on live TV but then I got a bit mad. I know, I know “Why you have to be mad? He might be a good guy.” I got mad because even today in this multicultural city we call Toronto we still have racists like this guy who called. Now I’m going to assume it was a white guy (yea that’s right, I said WHITE and not Caucasian). The only reason I think that is because of past experiences because let’s face it, we’ve all been a victim of some sort of racism at some point in our life and in my experiences, the person(s) on the other end were white. I ain’t scared to say that person was white, that person was black because behind everyone’s back when y’all chilling with your little “crews,” y’all saying that white guy was wack or that guy was straight up acting like a Jew.

Now I ain’t a racist by any stretch of the imagination since I get along well with white people, black people, brown people, and any other colours you want to include in there. Now while this person could have been talking about Asians or South Asians when he used the word immigrants, he should know that the word immigrants actually defines people from all races including his own, no matter if he’s white, black or any other race. Usually people like this caller keep this kind of stuff internal and very rarely will actually call in to a TV show just to shit on immigrants. Since I ain’t got nothing better to say, I’m just going to assume some Uncle outsmarted this fudu at some job they used to work at and took his job and now this guy’s got his dirty underwear up in knots. Too bad for him and biggups to the uncle who took this mans job.

If you’re attitudes still can’t change in a day and age like today’s, you’re pretty much worthless. Because everywhere we go — hold up — everywhere we go, people wanna know, who we are, so we tell them, we are the Khalsa, the might mighty Khalsa. Damn that was off topic but admit it, you had a good laugh while reading that. (If you never attended any Sikh camps, you won’t get that joke so don’t try to get it because you’re just wasting more time for no reason.) Now back to the serious stuff. Because everywhere we go today, we end up dealing with people from so many different backgrounds and we respect each other beliefs and values and that’s that. We don’t go around calling TV shows and start mouthing off racist remarks. Anyways, people like this man should be beat because of the stupidness they still believe nowadays with regards to racism.

Since I don’t know what else to write, I’m just going to end my pointless ramblings right here so holla at ya boy.
